NYE 2006 – Part III of V

Here’s the URL for Michael’s (the guy who wrote Kubrick and K2) original post with his idea to do this. Shozu appears to be too insecure to allow for actual links, so I’ll have to update these manually, grrr.

NYE 2006 – Part I of V

Here’s the first post in a possible five part series (I may not hit up the 3 AM post), documenting the progress of the evening. Dylan just woke up here and was being holdy at the time. I hadn’t quite got the phone upload thing working out the right way, so I had to edit the post after the picture, sad. Hopefully I’ll get better at that.
Per instructions, here’s a link back to Michael’s (the guy who wrote Kubrick and K2) original post with his idea to do this.

Fatty boombalatty bowls are now government funded

Brandy and I were having a low self esteem day and decided to hit up the ole KFC for one of their bowl meals. KFC came out with these “bowls” a few months back and the concept is basically a cobb salad with rice or mashed potatoes instead of lettuce and brown gravy instead of dressing. It sounds tasty but you end up feeling like the fattest person in the world when you’re through.

So anyway when we got there, we saw this little nugget in the window.

I can’t say I feel great about welfare endorsing KFC as a viable food supply, but I don’t remember getting to vote on it. Way to go representative democracy!

After months of inactivity, the bathroom is coming along

Check out the progress we made in the bathroom over just the past two weeks!
Bathroom Progress
Thanks go out to my mom for pushing us (in a nice way) to finish the project by the end of the year, as well as putting in tons of design and labor work. Paul did the infrastructure work, while Brandy and I sat around and fumbled with our hands. We finally felt bad enough about not doing anything that we decided to take on the tiling of the floor. This turned out to be a pretty easy task, and now the bathroom looks very much like it could be completed in time for the holiday season.

Here is the full set of pictures for the master bed and bath; a nice little journey that might take just over 6 months to complete. We’re awesome.
